HC Deb 02 July 1979 vol 969 c434W
Mr. Nicholas Winterton

asked the Secretary of State for Energy what representations have been received by his Department about the problems being experienced by the textile industry because of the cutback in supplies of oil.

Mr. Gray

My Department was approached by the Wool Textile Association in April of this year for a general assessment of the situation. There have been two subsequent approaches from individual firms about particular difficulties which they were experiencing. In both cases these have now been resolved.
