asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will list by constituency (a) the actual number, (b) the percentage of the electorate, and (c) the percentage of the total votes cast of the postal votes in the general election.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the estimated cost of introducing arrangements to allow people to vote by post and proxy in elections for parish councils.

asked the Secretary of State for the Home Department what is the estimated cost of introducing postal votes for (a) rural district council elections and (b) parish council elections.

There are no longer rural district councils in England and Wales. The cost of introducing postal votes for parish council elections is one of the matters I shall be considering in the course of my review of postal voting at the recent elections.
