HC Deb 02 July 1979 vol 969 c496W
Mr. Thomas Cox

asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what is the present petrol allowance payable to a disabled person; and when this was last increased.

Mr. Prentice

The petrol allowance is £10 a year. It was introduced at that rate in January 1975 for those who use a Department car and was increased from £5 at the same time for those who have petrol engined three-wheelers from the Department.
