asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer how much of the total revenue lost as a result of the cuts in direct taxation announced in the Budget has benefited taxpayers with children and how much has benefited those without children.

In a full year about £1,700 million to taxpayers with children and £2,900 million to taxpayers without children.
