§ Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether he will make a staetment about the future of the residential quarters at RAF Lindholme, in the light of his announcement of a new operational role for the station.
§ Mr. WellbelovedThere are at present 170 vacant married quarters at RAF Lindholme and this will not be affected by the decision announced on 26 January to use the station as a relief landing ground for aircraft from RAF Finningley. We are, therefore, currently considering whether a future defence requirement for the quarters exists. If it does not, they will be disposed of in the normal way. I will keep my hon. Friend informed.
