§ Mr. Simsasked the Secretary of State for the Home Department if he will publish in the Official Report details of all the certificates of unruliness issued in respect of girls in England and Wales in September, October and November 1978, showing in each case the court at which the order was made, the nature of the offence, at which establishment the girl made the subject of the order was accommodated and the length of the period of remand in that establishment.
§ Mr. John, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 15 December 1978; Vol. 960, c. 502], gave the following information:
The following table gives particulars of girls received into prison department establishments in England and Wales under certificates of unruliness in September-November 1978. The 40 certificates of unruliness issued were in respect of 35 girls, four girls having received more than one remand.
