§ Mr. Leeasked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection if he is satisfied that adequate powers exist under the monopolies legislation to prevent the undue concentration of any part of the private sector of the economy, in view of the difficulties of breaking down such concentrations where mergers or takeovers have already taken place or of preventing any consequent closures.
