§ Mr. Maurice Macmillanasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many people have been housed by local authorities under the terms of the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act after being judged as being in priority need through 298W (a) pregnancy and (b) being in danger of sexual exploitation.
§ Mr. Freeson25,200 homeless households in the first half of 1978 in England were judged by local authorities to be in priority need. Of these
- (a) 2,300 were accepted because of pregnancy; and
- (b) 700 for "other special reasons"
Particular special reasons are not separately identified by local authorities.
