§ Miss Joan Lestorasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs what recent approaches have been made to the Soviet authorities with a view to uniting Misha Voikhansky, now resident in Leningrad, with his mother Dr. 554W Marina Voikhansky, resident in the United Kingdom.
§ Mr. LuardThe Government have repeatedly raised Misha Voikhansky's case with the Soviet authorities, in the context of the family reunification provisions of the Helsinki Final Act. The last approach to the Soviet authorities was made on 8 January 1979.
