§ 41. Mr. Sproatasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the latest preparations for the Madrid review conference.
§ Mr. LuardThe Government are engaged in regular consultations with their partners in the Nine and NATO about the preparations for the Madrid meeting and are currently intensifying their bilateral contacts on the subject with other signatories of the Final Act, including countries in Eastern Europe. United Kingdom delegations have also been playing a full part in the three experts' meetings provided for in the Belgrade concluding document, the results of which will be taken into account as appropriate at Madrid.
