§ Mr. JohnThe information available relates to proceedings completed during the year, some of which will have been commenced in the preceding year. Information on proceedings completed at magistrates' courts in 1977 was published in table 1(a) of "Criminal Statistics, England and Wales, 1977" (Cmnd. 7289). Information on those for trial at the Crown court is given in table 5(a) of the same publication.
