§ Mr. Les HuckfieldWe shall maintain our efforts to develop industry on Merseyside, including Kirkby, where regional incentives at the highest levels within Great Britain have been available since we made Merseyside a special development area. These incentives have secured the location in Merseyside of the high technology microelectronics project by GEC Fairchild Ltd. which is expected to create 1.100 jobs.
