§ Mr. HoramThere are four major trunk road schemes under construction in the Midlands—bypasses of Ludlow, Little Houghton and Borrowash and the widening of the M5 between Lydiate Ash and Quinton.
The number of schemes under construction in any region is bound to fluctuate from time to time. Several motorway schemes have been completed in the Midlands in recent years and public inquiries into others are expected to take place this year.
