§ Lord GORONWY-ROBERTSThe Soviet Union claimed a territorial sea of 12 nautical miles in 1927. Following the restatement of that claim in domestic legislation in 1960, Her Majesty's Government reserved their position on its validity. We understand that other Governments have acted similarly.
