§ Mr. Spearingasked the Secretary of State for the Environment to whom applications should be made for assistance in respect of the additional £20 million for guarantees and loans for London dockland which he announced on 2nd February last; what criteria that body will apply to both types of applications; and if such sums may be expended in respect of sections 5 and 6 of the Inner Urban Areas Act.
§ Mr. ShoreI shall be discussing with the appropriate authorities the types of project which might benefit and the procedures for dealing with applications. The normal criteria for Government financial assistance will apply. The basis of these are set out in the document "Criteria for Assistance to Industry" which was laid before Parliament in January 1976. I am writing to my hon. Friend sending him a copy.
