§ Mr. BrittanMost evening classes at Bristol prison were suspended on 10 October as a result of action taken by prison officers to express their concern at financial cuts in local authority education services; efforts are being made to arrange for the resumption of classes but no date can yet be given. About 100 prisoners are affected.
