§ Mrs. Renée Shortasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science why the Association of Polytechnic Teachers is not recognised by his Department.
§ Dr. BoysonThis Association has been consulted by my Department on a number of issues and I have met its representatives on two recent occasions. As for recognition on national negotiating bodies, the Association is not represented on Burnham but has, very recently, submitted a formal application for membership of the teachers' panel of the Burnham FE committee, which will be given careful consideration by my right hon. and learned Friend.
