What is the cost to public funds in the current year of the Equal Opportunities Commission; and what reduction it is intended to make next year in this figure in accordance with the Government's plans for the reduction of public expenditure.
§ Lord BELSTEADThe cost of the Equal Opportunities Commission to public funds in the present financial year at out-turn prices is expected to be a little less than £2.6 million. This takes into account reductions in expenditure which the Commission has been asked to make. Details of next year's expenditure are still under consideration.
