§ Mr. ArmstrongWhile we have no immediate proposals for any increase in the present basic rate of 75 per cent, payable in housing action areas or the rates payable elsewhere, the Housing Bill includes wide powers for the Secretary of State to vary grant rates to meet the needs of particular areas or categories of case.
