Mr. David Mitchell

asked the Secretary of State for Employment, pursuant to his reply to the Member for Cardigan (Mr. Howells) on 5 February concerning meetings held with organisations representing small firms in 1978, if he will give the names of 12 of the organisations with which he had very many meetings throughout the year concerned with the interests of small firms.

Mr. Golding

, pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 22 February 1979; Vol. 963, c. 277], gave the following answer:

During 1978, my right hon. Friend had meetings with the following 12 organisations concerned with the interests of small firms:

  • British Textiles Confederation.
  • Engineering Employers' Federation.
  • British Leather Association.
  • Confederation of British Industry.
  • London Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
  • Engineering Industries Council.
  • Institute of Directors.
  • Confederation of British Industry, Blackpool Branch.
  • Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
  • Engineering Industry Training Board.
  • Construction Industry Training Board.
  • Furniture and Timber Industry Training Board.
