asked the Secretary of State for Social Services what improvements in the National Health Service in the Preston area have been implemented by his Department since 1974.

Mr. Moyle,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 29 March 1979; Vol. 965, c. 338], gave the following answer:

Since 1974 the following major building scheme has been completed in Preston: Sharoe Green hospital: younger disabled unit health centre at Geoffrey Street Additionally, in 1975 work began on the new Preston hospital and the first phase, which includes out-patient and accident departments, is due to be completed in August this year.
