HC Deb 02 April 1979 vol 965 c534W
Mr. Fitt

asked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland how many cases have been returned by the benefit allocation branch of his Department to the Housing Executive because of wrong information and a dispute of the amount owed.

Mr. Carter,

pursuant to his reply [Official Report, 27 March 1979; Vol. 965, c. 164], gave the following answer:

This information is not available and could only be obtained at disproportionate cost. However, during the period 2 October 1978 to 4 February 1979 about 270 cases, approximately 2 per cent. of all cases referred to the benefits allocation branch by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, could not be acted upon immediately because further information was required.
