Mr. Eldon Griffiths

asked the Secretary of State for Trade what quantities of wine were imported in each of the past five years by volume, and by value, indicating as far as can be ascertained the proportions arising from each main country of origin.

Mr. Meacher

To provide information by country of origin would entail undue cost because of the large number of code numbers involved.
