§ Mr. Orme:No. The extended time limits are a concession to help those who claim for the first time. Thereafter the normal rules are necessary so that effective controls can be exercised. The adjudicating authorities may extend the time limits for up to 12 months in cases where they consider there was good cause for failure to claim within the prescribed time.
