GouldMr. asked the Secretary of State for Trade what are the figures for the import and export of manufactured goods, less precious stones, in the United Kingdom's trade with the EEC Six (a) for the first nine months of the current year and (b) expressed at an annual rate.
§ Mr. Meacher:Following is the information for manufactured goods less non-metallic mineral manufactures (SITC Division 66):
January-September Imports (cif) Exports (fob) 1978 (£ million) 7,649 5,588 (Source: United Kingdom Overseas Trade Statistics, SITC Sections—inclusive.) A continuation of trade at the rates applying in the period January-September would produce figures of £10,198 million cif for imports and £7,541 million fob for exports for the year as a whole.
