§ Mr. Adleyasked the Secretary of State for Education and Science what steps she has taken to ensure that schools are provided with up-to-date educational documents which relate factually the status of the United Kingdom as a member of the European Economic Community; and if she will make a statement.
§ Miss Margaret Jackson:The provision of educational material about the United Kingdom's place in the European Economic Community and about the Community generally is a matter for local education authorities and individual schools. My Department has consulted local authorities, teachers' associations and other interested bodies about a communication by the EEC Commission on educational activities with a European 32W content and the study of the European Community in school.
