§ 26. Mr. Nelsonasked the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs if he will make a statement on the progress of peace negotiations in the Middle East, following the Camp David agreement, in so far as the interest of Her Majesty's Government is concerned.
§ Mr. JuddThe Government remain committed to a comprehensive peace settlement based upon Security Council Resolutions 242 and 338. Such a settlement will have to take account of the rights of all the peoples of the area. Within this context we very much hope 615W that the negotiations currently in progress between Egypt and Israel will lead to a peace treaty between them.
