17. Mr. Fred Evansasked the Secretary of State for Wales whether he will call a conference of Welsh authorities to examine the implications and difficulties experienced in implementing the Housing (Homeless Persons) Act.
§ Mr. Alec JonesNo, my right hon. and learned Friend will shortly be publishing statistics on the operation of the Act for the quarter from 1st April 1978 and the Welsh Office and the Department of the Environment will be joining with the local authority associations to consider the implementation of the Act and the code of guidance. Comments from local authorities which may be experiencing difficulties will be given full consideration.
