§ Mr. Dunnettasked the Secretary of State for Social Services whether he will publish in the Official Report tables showing for each social services authority the availability in the most recent year for which fiugres are available of meals on wheels per thousand of the elderly population and the extent to which recipients can obtain them on more than one day per week.
§ Mr. DeakinsThe following table gives (a) the number of meals served to people at home per 1,000 of the population aged 65 years and over during the year ended 31st March 1977 and (b) the proportion of people aged 65 years and over served meals at home who received more than one meal during the week 8th-14th November 1976. The extent to which people receive more than one meal per week is determined in part by social services departments and partly by the individual's personal choice.
