§ Mr. Leeasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food if he will make a further statement on the functions of the Milk Marketing Board in the light of the adverse vote in the Committee on Agriculture of the European Assembly.
§ Mr. John SilkinAs I told the House on 12th May—[Vol. 949, c. 1605–1620]—the Council of Ministers has agreed on regulations which fully and permanently safeguard the future of the Milk Marketing Boards. These regulations will be formally adopted by the Council as soon as the European Assembly has expressed its opinion.
