§ Mr. Trotterasked the Secretary of State for Defence whether it is proposed to retain the post of Flag Officer Carriers and Amphibious Ships after the withdrawal 439W of HMS "Ark Royal", the last aircraft carrier, at the end of the year.
§ Mr. DuffyThe title and role of the post are under review but the requirement for seagoing flag officer posts, one of which is currently that of Flag Officer Carriers and Amphibious Ships, will not be reduced as a result of the withdrawal from service of HMS "Ark Royal".
