§ Miss Margaret JacksonSuch advice is primarily a matter for local education authorities, and I understand that 93W about two-thirds of the authorities in England have regulations or issue guidance to teachers about the use of corporal punishment. I regret that corporal punishment continues to be used in schools and look forward to its disappearance.
