§ 23. Mr. Carsonasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a statement regarding the progress of the committee currently considering maintenance procedures with the Northern Ireland Housing Executive.
§ Mr. CarterAs I have said previously, both the Housing Executive and the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland recognise the need to improve the Housing Executive's maintenance service and a committee has been set up within the Executive under the chairmanship of a member of the board to examine performance in this field. Progress made by this committee is a matter for the Housing Executive and I am, therefore, conveying the hon. Member's request for information to it.
