As far as I am aware, there are no546W current applications from member councils of the London Boroughs Association seeking my special consent.
§ 41. Mr. Gowasked the Secretary of State for the Environment how many council houses and flats have been sold by local authorities to their tenants during the first three months of 1978; and if he will give comparable figures for such sales during each of the past three years.
§ Mr. ArmstrongIt is provisionally estimated that 4,042 dwellings were sold by English local authorities in the first three months of this year. Comparable figures for the first quarters of 1975, 1976 and 1977 were, respectively, 353, 594 and 2,233.
