Friend the Secretary of State for Scotland and my right hon. and learned Friend the Secretary of State for Wales assumed responsibility for radioactive waste management policy in May 1977, we have304W been reviewing the current arrangements for controlling radioactive waste, and the adequacy of research into radioactive waste management. I shall shortly be announcing the establishment of a radioactive waste management advisory committee and we shall wish to take its advice on a wide range of issues before formulating any proposals on radioactive waste management policy.
