§ Mr. Gwynfor Evansasked the Secretary of State for Wales what was the actual allocation to Wales in 1978–79 under the housing investment programme and what would have been the allocation according to need showing £ million at provisional outturn prices.
§ Mr. Barry JonesThe housing investment programme basis for allocations does not come into effect until 1st April 1979. The allocations for 1978–79 were based on bids, and amounted to £77.5 million for local authority investment and £22.8 million for improvement grants and local authority lending at provisional out-turn prices. The local authority investment allocation appears sufficient to enable all authorities to carry out in full the programmes contained in the bids.
