§ Mr. Martenasked the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food what are now the stocks of beef, butter and barley held in intervention on United Kingdom account compared with the same time last year.
§ Mr. BishopSubject to final verification, 15,653 tonnes of beef, 6,726 tonnes of butter and 20,822 tonnes of barley were held in intervention on United Kingdom account on 14th April 1978. 3,668 tonnes of beef and 3,534 tonnes of butter were held on 15th April 1977. There were no stocks for barley in intervention last year.
