asked the Secretary of State for Scotland if he will publish a table showing the infant mortality rates in (a) England and Wales, (b) Scotland, and (c) Glasgow in each year since 1948.

The figures for Scotland and for Glasgow are given in the table below. The hon. Member should ask my right hon. Friend the Secretary of State for Social Services about figures for England and Wales.

the number of nurse training posts currently available in each of the following Glasgow hospitals: Glasgow Royal Infirmary, Stobhill Hospital, Victoria Infirmary, Southern General Hospital, Western Infirmary, and Gartnavel General Hospital.

There is no fixed number of nurses training posts in these hospitals. The individual hospital nursing management co-operates with the relevant College of Nursing and Midwifery to provide clinical experience for learners from the college as required. The numbers of funded posts for trained nurses are set out below, together with the current numbers of learners in general nursing who obtain clinical experience in these hospitals.
