Mr. Holland

asked the Secretary of State for Employment in how many Central Arbitration Committee cases since the beginning of 1976 the awards made have been challenged in the High Court; and in how many of those cases the High Court has upheld the Central Arbitration Committee award.

Of the six awards challenged in the High Court, two have been upheld and three await hearing.

asked the Secretary of State for Employment how many Central Arbitration Committee awards were published in 1976, 1977, and to the latest date in 1978, respectively.
