HL Deb 20 March 1978 vol 389 c1674WA
Lord WIGG

asked Her Majesty's Government:

Whether they will publish in the Official Report a list of the non-aligned countries attending the Belgrade Conference in addition to the host country Yugoslavia, based on the definition of a non-aligned country being a country with is a member of the non-aligned group of countries as understood and accepted by the United Nations.

Lord GORONWY-ROBERTS

Of those countries which were represented at the Non-Aligned Conference in Colombo in 1976, three—Cyprus and Malta, in addition to Yugoslavia—attended the Belgrade CSCE follow-up meeting throughout, in their capacity as signatory States, while six others—Algeria, Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria and Tunisia—made contributions to the work of the meeting on matters to do with the Mediterranean. Nine countries participating in the Belgrade meeting formed a self - styled "Neutral / Non - Aligned Group": these were Austria, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Cyprus, Leichtenstein, Malta, San Marino and Yugoslavia.
