§ Mr. Carter-Jonesasked the Secretary of State for Social Services how many area health authorities promote antenatal co-operation cards.
§ Mr. MoyleThe antenatal co-operation card was offered to health authorities and general practitioners as a means of ensuring that relevant information is readily available to all those involved in patient care, whether at hospital or in the community. It is a widely used means of keeping a record of the pregnancy but there are alternatives and it has therefore not been felt necessary to collect information centrally about the extent of its use.
