§ Mr. Clinton DavisThe Department of Trade, in co-operation with the French authorities, has improved radar surveillance in the Dover Straits area and extended means of identifying vessels contravening the traffic separation scheme. These developments, the improvement of the safety record and measures for combating pollution in the event of an accident, together with future plans are described in a report, issued today, of the Anglo-French Safety of Navigation Group, copies of which are being placed in the Library.
