§ Miss Margaret JacksonHer Majesty's inspectors published an appraisal of problems in some key subjects, including mathematics, in 1977. I also refer the hon. Member to my right hon. Friend's announcement today, in answer to the hon. Member for Sheffield, Heeley (Mr. Hooley) of her intention to set up an inquiry into the teaching of mathematics in primary and secondary schools.
