§ Mr. Sproatasked the Minister for the Civil Service what are the latest figures for the ratio of civil servants per head of the population in the United Kingdom and in each of the other EEC countries.
§ Mr. Charles R. MorrisThere were 0.013 civil servants per head of the population—about one in 75—on 1st July 1977. Unfortunately it is not possible to obtain consistent figures for other countries of the EEC which would allow meaningful comparisons to be made.
