§ Mr. Stephen Rossasked the Secretary of State for the Environment (1) what provisions of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 set out in Circular 7/77 from his Department are relevant to an application by the United States Air Force to reactivate or change the status of an air base in the United Kingdom; and whether he is satisfied that, in the case of any such application currently 170W under consideration, the relevant provisions are being complied with;
(2) what representations he has received concerning the environmental effects of any application by the United States Air Force to reactivate or change the status of any air base in the United Kingdom; and what action he has taken or intends to take upon any such application.
