HC Deb 13 March 1978 vol 946 cc24-5W
Mr. John Ellis

asked the Secretary of State for Prices and Consumer Protection what action he intends to take in regard to the report of the Monopolies Commission that solicitors be allowed to advertise.

Mr. John Fraser

I have received a report from the Director General of Fair Trading on the discussions that he has been holding with the profession at my right hon. Friend's request and I have asked the President of the Law Society to meet me to discuss one or two outstanding points. I hope to hold that meeting soon and I shall inform the House of the outcome.
