§ Mr. Kenneth Clarkeasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what progress the Government have now made in their consultations with the Confederation of British Industry and chambers of commerce on the question of publishing names of firms placed on the black list for Government contracts; and whether he will make a statement.
§ Mr. HealeyI have completed my consultations. The view of these organisations is that publication should only take place with the consent of the firm concerned, and I shall arrange for future publication to take place on this basis.
