§ Mr. Denzil DaviesBased on international sources, the latest estimates of gross national product per head for the United Kingdom and the Federal Republic of Germany relate to 1976. The figures are £2,195 and £2,755 respectively. Estimates for the German Democratic Republic are not available. The figure for the Federal Republic of Germany has been converted to £ sterling terms on the basis of a purchasing power parity for gross domestic product, extrapolated to 1976 from the comparisons made by the United Nations of relative prices of goods and services in 1970.
