§ 27. Rev. Ian Paisleyasked the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland if he will make a grant from Northern Ireland Government funds to the La Mon Disaster Fund; and if he will give an assurance that the grant from this fund will be deducted from final compensation payments.
§ Mr. ConcannonAs my right hon. Friend assured the House on 6th March, any payments from the contributions so generously made by their fellow citizens to the La Mon Disaster Fund will not be deducted from compensation to which the injured and dependants involved in this tragedy may be entitled under the Criminal Injuries (Compensation) (Northern Ireland) Order 1977.
