§ Q22. Dr. Edmund Marshallasked the Prime Minister whether he will seek to amend Schedule 2 to the Parliamentary Commissioner Act 1967 to include the nationalised industries in the list of authorities subject to investigation.

The Government's policy is that the most appropriate means for dealing with complaints against the nationalised industries is through the machinery for representation of consumer interests, measures for the strengthening of which were outlined in the recent White Paper, "The Nationalised Industries" (Cmnd. 7131).
